Claims Clerk – Workers' Compensation

Salary Range: $42,000 - $45,000

The Florida League of Cities is looking for a motivated and organized Claims Clerk to support our Workers' Compensation team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys administrative work, customer service, attention to detail, and being part of a collaborative team environment.

As a Claims Clerk, you will play a key role in supporting claims operations, maintaining electronic records, assisting with benefit payments, and ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service.

What You'll Do

• Answer incoming calls and provide professional customer service
• Scan, index, and maintain electronic claim files
• Process incoming documents and correspondence
• Support medical and wage benefit payment processing
• Prepare and distribute claim-related documents and checks
• Maintain accurate records and documentation
• Assist claims staff with administrative support activities
• Participate in training and professional development opportunities
• Serve as a positive representative of the organization

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• One to three years of administrative or office support experience
• Proficiency with computers and standard office software
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in workers' compensation, healthcare, insurance, or a related medical environment
• Knowledge of medical terminology and ICD-10 diagnosis codes
• Experience working with electronic document management systems
