Summary
The Control Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing industrial control systems and automation equipment. This role ensures reliable operation of PLCs, instrumentation, sensors, and control networks to support a safe and efficient production process.
Requirements
Associate degree or technical certification in Electrical Engineering Technology, Automation, or related field is nice to have. Manager will look at candidates with additional work experience in liu of degree
5+ years of experience working with industrial control systemsStrong knowledge of the following:PLCs (Allen-Bradley)Motor control systems and VFDsIndustrial networks (ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus)Ability to trouble shoot electrical and instrumentation systemsFamiliarity with safety practices such as LOTO and arc flash is nice to have. Candidate will be trained on both.
Preferred Qualifications Experience in manufacturing environments (food & beverage, dairy, or processing plants)Strong experience with SCADA platform (development, troubleshooting, and upgrades)Understanding of process control loops and PID tuning.Ability to work with CMMS systemsKey SkillsProblem solving and analytical thinkingAttention to detailStrong communication and teamworkTime management and ability to prioritize tasksTechnical troubleshooting expertise Work Environment Industrial / Manufacturing settingExposure to machinery, electrical systems, and varying temperaturesAbility to lift up to 50lbs Skills
