Therapist (LMHC/LSW)

Location: Roxboro, NC

Job Type: Full-Time

Shifts: Mon - Fri (Days)

Settings: Outpatient

Job Description:

We are looking for a Therapist who will be providing counseling, therapy, and support to individuals, groups, and families, helping them address and manage their mental health concerns. The goal is to improve clients' well-being and help them lead healthier and more fulfilling lives.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Maintain confidentiality of records relating to client's treatment

• Gather information about community mental health needs and resources that could be used in conjunction with therapy

• Plan outreach and referral activities in surrounding communities

• Plan and conduct programs to prevent substance abuse or improve community health and counseling services

• Assess clients; mental condition based on review of client information, interviews, observation, tests, and collaboration with other staff members

• Serve as a client advocate to coordinate required services or to resolve emergency problems in crisis situations

• Develop and implement treatment plans based on DA, clinical experience and knowledge

• Conduct initial family assessments and refer patients, clients, or family members to community resources or to specialists as necessary

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related behavioral health field from an accredited institution

• Valid North Carolina License as one of the following:

1. Licensed Social Worker (LSW)

2. Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience providing diagnostic assessments and therapy services

• Demonstrated experience working with a full range of individuals from youth through adulthood

• Proficiency in conducting comprehensive Diagnostic Assessments (DA), developing treatment plans, and providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions

• Experience providing individual, family, and group therapy
