Location:Suburban – Montgomery County, PA Size:Mid-size law firm The Controller is a key member of the law firm’s leadership team, responsible for managing all financial operations with precision and integrity. This role requires hands-on expertise across all major accounting platforms and a deep understanding of law firm billing, accounts payable, and cash receipts. The Controller will also serve as a backup and support for the Accounts Payable function, ensuring continuity and accuracy in financial processes. We believe that financial integrity is the backbone of exceptional legal service. The Controller will need to have the ability to work in a fast paced, collaborative environment and bring hands-on expertise in law firm accounting. This is a high-impact role that works closely with our Chief Operating Officer and serves as a key liaison with our external accountant. Responsibilities – This position reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer. As Controller, you’ll lead the firm’s financial operations with precision and insight. Your responsibilities will include: Oversee all general ledger activity, billing, accounts payable, and cash receipts Ensure accurate coding and classification of financial transactions Maintain internal controls and accounting procedures Preparation/oversight of monthly internal financial statements, monthly/quarterly and end of year closings.
