Certified Dietary Manager

Dietary ManagerPlans, develops, organizes, implements, evaluates and directs the Dietary Department, its programs and activities within approved budget and quality standards. The Dietary Manager ensures that all written dietary policies, procedures, and manuals are adhered to, maintained and updated.The Dietary Manager maintains compliance with state and federal regulations in preparation for state survey. The Dietary Manager prepares recommendations to the Administrator concerning department operations. Fosters and maintains inter-departmental communication and cooperation to ensure that any reported concerns are addressed and corrected.The Dietary Manager develops the organizational structure, staffing and direction within policy and budgetary guidelines. Responsibly exercises authority to take necessary personnel actions for department personnel including actions impacting employment such as hire, evaluations, work assignments and schedules. The Dietary Manager assists in departmental conflict resolution and makes recommendations for discipline.
