Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' mental health and emotional well-being, identifying specific areas of concern. \n
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans that align with clients’ unique goals and needs. \n
- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions in individual, family, and group therapy sessions to promote positive outcomes. \n
- Regularly track and evaluate clients' progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans to ensure effective progress. \n
- Provide crisis intervention and support for clients experiencing acute mental health issues, utilizing appropriate intervention techniques. \n
- Maintain accurate, confidential client records and documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring the integrity of client information. \n
- Collaborate seamlessly with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive and holistic care. \n
- Stay abreast of the latest developments in mental health treatment, research, and best practices, integrating new knowledge into your clinical work. \n
- Engage consistently in supervision and professional development opportunities to enhance your clinical skills and stay aligned with best practices. \n
- Uphold ethical guidelines and professional standards set forth by relevant licensing boards and organizations throughout your work. \n
You will primarily work with a diverse clientele, including individuals from various backgrounds and cultures, many of whom identify with faith-based communities. The patients you serve may include those involved in the county jail system who are in need of urgent and ongoing mental health care. Your expertise will help them navigate challenges related to mental health, emotional resilience, and personal development.
Qualifications\n- \n
- A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Therapy, Psychology, Social Work, or a related mental health field. \n
- Current state licensure as a Mental Health Therapist, including LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW. \n
- Strong clinical assessment skills with an ability to diagnose and identify treatment needs effectively. \n
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills that foster trust and rapport with clients. \n
- Empathy, compassion, and a deep commitment to supporting and advocating for client well-being. \n
- Ability to work autonomously while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment. \n
- Thorough understanding of ethical guidelines and legal requirements related to mental health practice. \n

A minimum of three years of experience as a licensed mental health counselor or therapist in a similar setting is required. Experience with crisis intervention, group therapy facilitation, and a strong background in working with diverse populations is highly beneficial.
Compensation and Benefits\nAthena's Hope offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition, we provide a variety of benefits, including a retirement savings plan (401k or similar), paid time off, and observance of holidays.
