Job Description Tessera is seeking a hard‑working and motivated Custodian Lead with a positive and helpful attitude. Typical Duties Back up custodial staff with custodial job duties Coach, mentor, and resolve employee concerns in a respectful and mutually beneficial manner Monitor employees to ensure efficient use of time, performance, and understanding of work tasks Record daily personnel attendance and track employee absences, tardiness, etc. Monitor employee interactions and conduct, documenting misconduct on designated Skookum forms Assist manager with customer service to meet customer demands Assist manager with supply and equipment inventory of locker and storage areas Assist manager with managing schedules as needed, including call‑outs, vacation, or sick leave requests Assist manager with ensuring orientation and on‑the‑job training are completed for all new employees and re‑hired employees Assist manager with evaluating employee performance for probationary and annual reviews Assist manager with various reports, including schedules, training, attendance, evaluations, employee documentation, correct time‑keeping, accident reports Assist manager with issue, turn in & securing of all government and Skookum keys/vehicles/phones. Ensure buildings are secured and safety measures taken when exiting Participate with rehabilitation staff in the development and monitoring of individual evaluations, assessments, and training programs Maintain professionalism in both appearance and demeanor All other duties as assigned Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required 0‑3 years of custodian or janitorial experience preferred Previous leadership experience preferred Combination of experience and education will be considered Physical Requirements Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance. The physical demands of this position may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case‑by‑case basis. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 45 pounds. May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties. Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, walking, standing or sitting for several hours, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs. Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time. Requirements A valid state driver’s license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance. Access to a federal military installation requires a REAL ID‑compliant driver’s license or an acceptable alternative, such as a U.S. passport or military ID, in accordance with the REAL ID Act. Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access. A background check and E‑Verify will be conducted for this position.
