Manager, Risk Management-Global Payments Network

We are seeking a Risk Manager to join the International Regulatory Risk Management team for the Global Payment Network (GPN). In this critical role on the Network Risk Operations team, you will be tasked with driving the evolution of our international regulatory operations, building a highly governed, scalable engine that informs our business trajectory and fuels global expansion. You will support the creation of enabling environments and turn adaptability in the face of global regulations into commercial differentiators. By centralizing our regulatory engagement models, you will proactively shape markets and position GPN as a preferred partner in the global payments ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute international regulatory reporting and complex global exams for the Global Payment Network, including major international audits. Drive post-exam insights into continuous, systemic control enhancements.
• Manage international change management frameworks to comply with shifting international laws, ensuring the network remains agile and fully compliant across borders.
• Participate in country entrance and exits, in line with business strategy.
• Deploy a unified regulatory engagement model for the Global Payment Network, establishing clear operational guardrails and centralized oversight for all international regulatory interactions.
• Coordinate and drive alignment across a globally distributed network of teams.
• Partner with Business, Product, and Technology teams to build "enabling environments" globally.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or military experience
• At least 1 year of Financial Services Risk Management experience
• At least 3 years of Project Management experience
• At least 5 years of experience supporting, partnering, and interacting with internal business clients

Preferred Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of Project Management experience leading cross-functional projects and programs in Risk
• At least 3 years of Financial Services risk management experience
• PMP Certification or Master's Certificate in Project Management (CPM)
• Experience setting direction, managing expectations, and leading cross-functional teams

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

Chicago, IL: $138,100 - $157,700 for Risk Manager

McLean, VA: $151,900 - $173,400 for Risk Manager

New York, NY: $165,700 - $189,200 for Risk Manager

Richmond, VA: $138,100 - $157,700 for Risk Manager

Riverwoods, IL: $138,100 - $157,700 for Risk Manager

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
