Night Shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) with every other weekend requirements.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated PICU Registered Nurse with expertise in pediatric critical care to provide exceptional care for infants, adolescents, and pediatric patients in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and experience in cardiac care.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients.
• Monitor and document patients' conditions and assessments through EPIC charting.
• Administer medications and treatments, including IV therapy, insulin, and antiarrhythmic drugs.
• Manage airway and ventilation settings, including BiPAP and ventilator care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Support families and provide education regarding their child's condition and care plan.
• Participate in specialty procedures, ensuring adherence to infection control and safety protocols.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active NJ or Compact nursing license required at time of submission.
• Minimum of 2+ years in PICU critical care nursing with at least 1 year of cardiac experience.
• Current certifications: BLS, PALS; NRP preferred.
• Experience with congenital heart disease management and post-operative cardiac care.
• Proficiency in IV therapy, respiratory management, hemodynamic monitoring, and pediatric dosage calculations.
