AVP, Technology Product Lead

Job Description:Role Summary/Purpose:As Technology Product Lead, you will partner with Product Managers, Architects, and Engineers in crafting Synchrony’s Financial Products, delivering them to market, and launching them at scale. Synchrony’s products touch many aspects of a customer experience, and you’ll lead the technical execution of the product strategy across a number of teams.You’ll be responsible for facilitating strategic and tactical conversations among a wide range of business and technical stakeholders, converting customer needs and business requirements into a technical roadmap, and collaborating across multiple Agile Release Trains and Agile Delivery Teams to deliver these features/capabilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong project management background with a technical background, as well as a proven track record of delivering critical initiatives in Agile at Scale.We’re proud to offer you choice and flexibility. You may be occasionally requested to commute to our nearest office for in person engagement activities such as team meetings, training, and culture events.Essential Responsibilities:Work with client teams and business to shape client requirements and provide ongoing communication through project executionCommunicate and facilitate effectively across diverse audiences within and outside of the Agile Team (program peers, key stakeholders, executives, and clients)Technical feature design ensuring enterprise scalability aEngaging with clients to integrate and commercialize products at scaleManage a diverse development team consisting of application architects, application engineers, quality engineers, and third-party contractors.Coach Agile behavior, leading by exampleLeverage Scaled Agile ceremonies to facilitate organization and collaboration across teams/trainsKeep Agile Delivery Teams/Trains focused on concrete priorities while keeping outside influences from disrupting and actively identify and remove waste and distractionsEnsure all teams are providing outputs which will piece together to the desired Product deliverables and provide end to end QA leadershipPerform other duties and/or special projects as assignedQualifications/Requirements:Bachelor's Degree and 4+ years of IT experience or equivalent leadership program experience, or in lieu of degree High School Diploma/GED and 6+ years of IT experience, experience in developing and implementing information systems and project management experienceDesired Characteristics:Experience in product management, especially technical product managementDemonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams, software developers in particularPassion for Agile and experience helping teams become more AgileExperience working in SAFe / scaled Agile a plusPrevious experience with both front-end and back-end applications; experience with Fiserv/First Data Credit Issuing Systems a plusParticipated in management of projects and implementations with both large and small corporate organizationsExperience with JIRA, Confluence and other Atlassian products; fluency in MS OfficeSuperior organization skills and adept at multi-taskingExcellent written and verbal interpersonal and communication skillsAn analytical approach to problem solving and trouble shootingA “can do” and flexible attitude with an ability to hit the ground running and learn on your feetHigh level of initiative and can work well in a team environmentGrade/Level: 11The salary range for this position is 90,000.00 - 155,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.Eligibility Requirements:You must be 18 years or olderYou must have a high school diploma or equivalentYou must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding processYou must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post.
