Patent Prosecution and Litigation Associate - Electrical Engineering and Software

Job Overview A law firm seeks a mid-to-senior-level Associate in Boston, MA, to join the Patent Prosecution and Litigation Practice Group on the Electrical Engineering and Software Team. Duties Draft and prosecute patent applications. Engage in litigation related to patent matters. Collaborate with team members on complex legal issues. Provide strategic advice to clients on patent-related matters. Requirements 4 to 7 years of IP experience in drafting and patent prosecution. Background in computer science, electrical engineering, or similar field. Experience with AI/machine learning, software design, semiconductors, and medical devices is a plus. Licensed to practice law or ability to become licensed in the state of Massachusetts. Member of the USPTO. Outstanding written and oral communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical abilities. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree. Certifications Bar admission in Massachusetts or eligibility for admission. USPTO registration. Skills Excellent academic credentials. Strong organizational and analytical abilities. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
