Site Manager

The Site Manager will lead day-to-day operations while partnering closely with VSA leadership to support broader platform objectives, operational alignment, and long-term growth initiatives across the organization. This role is ideal for a strong operational leader who can balance shop floor execution with strategic business leadership in a dynamic aerospace manufacturing environment. Our client serves a unique and loyal customer base within Alaska’s bush flying community, with a growing portfolio of wheels, brakes, and structural components. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on, visible leader who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment and can balance operational execution, team leadership, and business performance while developing talent, driving accountability, and helping position the business for continued growth as part of the expanding Victor Sierra Aviation (VSA) platform under TransDigm ownership. What You’ll Do Operations & Manufacturing Own all manufacturing operations including CNC machining, fabrication, assembly, and the new anodize finishing line upon commissioning Drive production efficiency, on‑time delivery, and quality metrics to meet or exceed customer expectations and VSA OpCo standards Maintain FAA regulatory compliance across all PMA‑certified product lines; serve as or oversee the accountable manager for quality and regulatory matters Put lean manufacturing principles, 5S standards, and continuous improvement into practice and keep them in place Financial Performance Own the site P&L with full accountability for revenue, gross margin, EBITDA, and working capital Hit and hold the return on sales target, consistent with VSA platform standards and TransDigm requirements Prepare and present reports to VSA leadership covering the performance, operational KPIs, and strategic initiatives Manage site operating budget, capital expenditures, and cost controls; spot and act on margin improvement opportunities Support annual operating plan (AOP) development and manage performance against plan throughout the year Commercial & Customer Maintain strong relationships with key customers in the Alaska aviation market, including bush operators, regional carriers, and MRO facilities Support VSA’s VP of Sales and VP of Marketing & Distribution on pricing strategy and new product launches as the subject‑matter expert on the Alaska market People & Culture Build, lead, and develop a high‑performing team in a remote operating environment; attract and retain talent capable of supporting a growing manufacturing operation Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement consistent with VSA values Conduct regular performance reviews, set clear goals and expectations, and develop backup depth across key functional roles Manage workforce planning including hiring, onboarding, and if necessary, performance management Environmental, Health & Safety Ensure OSHA compliance across all manufacturing processes; conduct regular safety walks, job hazard analyses, and periodic third‑party audits as appropriate Skills & Experience You Bring 7+ years of progressive manufacturing operations leadership, with at least 3 years in a site or general manager role with full P&L responsibility Demonstrated track record of hitting financial targets in a manufacturing environment — revenue growth, margin expansion, and cost control Experience in aerospace, aviation aftermarket, or precision manufacturing strongly preferred; familiarity with FAA‑PMA certification processes a significant plus Strong financial acumen — ability to read, interpret, and manage to a P&L; comfortable presenting financial results to corporate leadership Experience leading CNC machining operations; hands‑on familiarity with Haas equipment or equivalent Working knowledge of EHS compliance in a manufacturing environment, including chemical process and/or wet chemistry operations Proven ability to attract, develop, and retain talent in a smaller‑site, remote environment Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
