Shipping Material Handler

Electric Forklift OperatorOperating an electric forklift to gather, move, deliver and store materials as needed.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Load and unload trailers, containers and the box truckEnsure products are properly packaged, banded and wrapped for shipmentSelect, stage and prepare items for shipmentEnsure accuracy of selected products, both in quantity and product code to Bill of LadingFrequently lifting boxes weighing between 10 -30 pounds; occasionally lifting up to 50 poundsAssist with pulling Grainger orders as requiredMaintain cleanliness of warehouse.Adhere to all company and department safety requirementsEducation and/or Experience:Minimum of High School diploma or equivalent required. 3-6 months of experience as a Material Handler preferred.Qualification Requirements:Must have a current forklift license or be able to obtain one. Must understand Inventory Process and Procedures.Language Skills:Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, BOL/BOM, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Speak audibly, and present information in one-on-one and small group situations.Mathematical Skills:Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Physical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
