Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Henderson, Kentucky. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: 10/05/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Summary Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) Henderson, IN. This position involves providing high-quality patient care within a 45-bed Medical Surgical unit. The RN will be responsible for managing a diverse patient population, performing assessments, and coordinating care in a fast-paced hospital environment. Job Details Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Experience: Must have a current active compact license, AHA BLS, and NIHSS. Minimum of two years of strong Medical Surgical experience; recent EPIC charting experience required. Schedule: 12-hour days, 6:30 AM 7:00 PM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Responsibilities include patient assessment, management of PIV insertions, chest tube/indwelling drain management, CBI, drip management (heparin, cardizem), PEGs/NGs, ostomy care, remote tele, blood product administration, NIHSS/dysphagia screen, and critical thinking skills. Float: Float rotation may be required within skillset, including potential cross-campus float to Deaconess Newburgh (IN) and Deaconess Midtown (IN). The position involves every third weekend and every other holiday. Candidates must be social, resilient, and capable of managing change effectively. The unit operates with experienced staff, and precepting of students & new-hires may be required.
