Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery unit. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in maternal and newborn care and support during the labor process.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients during labor, delivery, and postpartum.
• Monitor and assess maternal and fetal well-being throughout the labor process.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and families about labor, delivery, and postpartum care.
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient assessments and interventions.
• Float within facility and scope of practice as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery nursing.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications preferred.
• Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple responsibilities.

Shift Information

This position requires a commitment to weekends every other week and one 12-hour shift as per schedule. The shifts will be night shifts from 19:00 to 07:00.

Compliance and Orientation

Full compliance is required to start on time. If not compliant, there may be a delay of 2 weeks due to the orientation schedule. Non-billable orientation hours are determined by the contract length.

Holiday Commitment

The traveler is expected to work major holidays if they fall within the assignment period, with specific expectations based on the number of holidays occurring during that time.

Additional Information

Local candidates are accepted at the same rate. Candidates will undergo a clinical screening to determine fit, and if approved, will be presented to the hiring manager for a final decision.
