Personal Care Attendant

Overview:

Heritage Home Healthcare is seeking a compassionate and dependable Personal Care Attendant to join our team at a Senior Living Facility in the Northeast Heights. In this role, you will make a meaningful difference each day by supporting multiple residents with their daily needs, helping them maintain independence, comfort, and quality of life in the place they call home.

This position follows a consistent schedule of Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM . Care is provided to multiple residents throughout the shift, typically spending 15 to 30 minutes per individual , with downtime between visits available in the office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and eating
• Follow prescribed healthcare and individualized care plans
• Provide mobility assistance (e.g., transfers from bed, chair, or wheelchair)
• Support a clean and safe living environment through light housekeeping
• Offer companionship, emotional support, and encouragement
• Escort or transport residents to appointments or errands as needed
• Monitor and report changes in residents’ health, behavior, or needs to the clinical team
• Adhere to all care plans and delegation instructions provided by licensed professionals
• Provide efficient, respectful care to multiple residents during scheduled visits

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required
• Previous caregiving experience preferred
• CNA certification recommended, but not required
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively between multiple residents
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Reliable transportation and valid car insurance
