Nursing Assistant

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night shift, 3x12.0 hours per week.

Under the general supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Nursing Assistant performs routine tasks in patient care, bedside nursing, and documentation of care provided. The ideal candidate will embrace the core values of the company, focusing on superior quality and effective teamwork while maintaining patient and employee safety.

• Ensure patient and employee safety with a focus on safe patient handling, infectious diseases, and workplace hazards.
• Prepare, assemble, deliver, and retrieve patient menus according to prescribed diets.
• Assist patients in menu selections compliant with prescribed diets, considering allergies and cultural preferences.
• Communicate patient care and food service issues to the department.
• Perform clerical assignments in the Food & Nutrition office, maintaining organization and efficiency.
• Assist with trayline and food service as needed.
• Participate in departmental in-services and meetings, and attend to inquiries in a timely manner.
• Follow facility guidelines for personal appearance, attendance, and punctuality.

• BLS certification (specific only for CIRH).
• A minimum of two years of bedside clinical experience is highly desired.
