Material Handler - 1st Shift

Job DescriptionJob DescriptionLocation: Jackson Center, OhioEmployment Type: 1st Shift, Full-time, temp-to-hireJob BriefKable Workforce Solutions is hiring a Material Handler for our client. This job involves safely operating forklifts, clamp trucks, and other material-handling equipment to move, load, and supply production lines efficiently. You’ll scan materials, complete accurate documentation, and ensure proper stock rotation using the First In, First Out (FIFO) system.What’s a Typical Day Like?Safely operate tow motor, forklift, clamp truck forklift, straight forklift, label lift, or floor jack in both warehouse and production areasScan materials and data entry when requiredSupply production lines in a timely mannerRun scrap reports and consolidate label supplies as neededAssure Stock Rotation (First In, First Out) system is followedVisually inspect raw materials for damage, contamination, or discolorationCollect resin samples from rail cars and bulk trucksComplete assigned paperwork correctly and accuratelyAdhere to all Business Operating Standards (BOS) and SAP standards and activitiesDocument incoming shipments and movements as requiredComply with all safety policies and proceduresMaintain housekeeping and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standardsAttend all required training sessions and weekly team meetingsCommunicate effectively and appropriately with Production, Quality, and Group LeadersOther jobs as assigned by supervisorWhat Are the Requirements of the Job?18 years oldPrevious experience in a distribution center environment helpful.Be a team player with an ability to work well with othersAbility to stand continuously for long periods of time, up to the whole shiftAbility to move and/or lift up to 75 lbs. on a continuous basis for 100% of working hoursAbility to frequently lift cartons above (up to 8 feet overhead) or below shoulder levelAbility to push, pull, bend, twist, squat, climb, kneel, crouch, crawl, and/or stoop on a repetitive basisAbility to utilize hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity, including grasping and holdingMaintain flexibility regarding job assignments, including working overtime as neededPass a background check and drug testWhy Choose Kable Workforce Solutions?Weekly PayExclusive Access Opportunities to V.I.P.
