We're seeking an experienced Sushi Chef who takes pride in their craft and thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen. What You'll Bring Minimum two years of experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant; sushi experience required. Expert knife skills and experience preparing sushi, sashimi, specialty rolls, and sushi rice. Strong understanding of seafood handling, food safety, and sanitation. Creativity, attention to detail, and pride in presentation. Positive attitude, reliability, and strong work ethic. Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with the kitchen team. Flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. What You'll Do Prepare high-quality sushi, sashimi, rolls, and specialty menu items. Maintain consistency, presentation, and portion standards. Ensure all food is prepared safely and according to company standards. Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation. Assist with inventory, product rotation, and minimizing waste. Train and mentor junior kitchen team members. Adapt to seasonal features and menu changes while maintaining quality and efficiency. Deliver an exceptional guest experience through craftsmanship and attention to detail. Qualifications Must be at least 18 years old. Two or more years of sushi preparation experience preferred. Culinary degree or equivalent experience is a plus. ServSafe or Food Handler Certification required. Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds. Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment and temperatures exceeding 85°F. Available to work between 8:00 AM and 11:00 PM, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Basic computer and POS knowledge is a plus.
