Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Echo Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: 08/10/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Ultrasonographer Echo position in Tacoma, Washington. This role involves performing vascular ultrasounds with a focus on independent work, demonstrating strong communication skills, and utilizing specific imaging technology. The schedule includes varied days with assignments known at least six weeks in advance, with a mix of weekday and weekend shifts. The position supports a diverse patient population across a broad age range. Job Details Schedule: Days, with shifts assigned 6 weeks in advance; shift hours typically around 12 hours per day, minimum of 36 hours per week. Required Qualifications: Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS). No minimum years of experience required; two years of acute care experience preferred. Valid license and certification for ultrasound procedures necessary. Preferred Qualifications: Proficiency in vascular exams, good communication skills, ability to work independently. Experience with ultrasound equipment including IU22, GE Logic E10, Phillips systems, and EMR systems such as EPIC. Shift Details: Variably scheduled days; weekend rotation required; on-call responsibilities with two nights per month; holiday shifts expected on scheduled days. Support within Department: Most shifts are staffed with multiple technicians. Technology/Equipment: Use of IU22, GE Logic E10, Phillips ultrasound systems; EMR using EPIC. Orientation: Approximately 1–2 weeks to familiarize with facility and unit protocols. Parking: Free parking provided.
