Pay Rate: $45/hr - $50/hr

Shift: Day Shift

Schedule: 36 hours/week

Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week

Experience: Minimum 3 years PCU experience required

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse - Progressive Care Unit for a day shift opportunity in Great Falls, Montana. This role is ideal for an RN with strong PCU/Step Down experience who can care for medically complex patients, operate advanced equipment, and support safe patient outcomes from admission through discharge.

Responsibilities

Provide care for Progressive Care/Step Down and Med/Surg patients
Monitor patients who are stable or predictably unstable
Support care for cardiac, respiratory, renal, surgical, sepsis, DKA, DVT, PE, and post-procedure patients
Manage patients with central lines, chest tubes, NG tubes, arterial lines, multiple IVs, and short-term ventilatory support
Interpret basic cardiac telemetry and EKG findings
Administer and monitor IV medications such as Heparin, Diltiazem, Dobutamine, Milrinone, Amiodarone, and Dopamine
Collaborate with providers, charge nurses, and interdisciplinary team members
Assist with clinical leadership, staff direction, precepting, and discharge planning

Requirements

Active Montana Registered Nurse license required
Minimum 3 years PCU/Step Down nursing experience required
BLS/BCLS required
ACLS required
PALS required
EPNC and TNCC preferred
Pediatric experience preferred
Post-heart catheterization experience preferred
Strong assessment, telemetry, IV medication, and advanced equipment skills required
Must be able to work day shift and holiday coverage as needed
