About the Role
The Company is in search of a Head of Service to spearhead the establishment, development, and expansion of its North American service and aftermarket organization. The successful candidate will be tasked with building the service infrastructure, developing field support capabilities, and driving aftermarket revenue growth through various service sales initiatives. This pivotal role demands a leader with a strong technical background, operational leadership skills, and a proven track record in customer support and commercial acumen. The Head of Service will be responsible for creating a scalable service organization that can support long-term business expansion, particularly in the diesel and gas generator product sector. Applicants for the Head of Service position at the company should ideally hold a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related discipline, with a minimum of 15 years' experience in service operations and a background in generator, power generation, heavy equipment, or industrial equipment industries. The role requires a candidate with a history of building and managing service organizations, as well as a deep understanding of aftermarket business development, service sales programs, and recurring revenue streams. Key responsibilities include service organization development, workshop and field service operations, aftermarket and service sales, spare parts and supply chain management, customer support and warranty management, partner and dealer network support, team building, and cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate will be entrepreneurial, customer-focused, and capable of creating a high-performance service culture within a fast-growing organization.
