A Pallet Maker is responsible for building, repairing, and assembling wooden pallets used for shipping and storage. This role involves working with hand tools, power tools, and machinery to construct pallets according to size, quality, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble wooden pallets using nails, screws, or staples
• Measure, cut, and shape wood components to required dimensions
• Repair damaged pallets by replacing boards or reinforcing structures
• Operate tools such as saws, nail guns, and pallet assembly machines
• Inspect finished pallets to ensure quality and durability
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Follow production schedules and meet daily output targets
• Adhere to safety procedures and company guidelines

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely
• Basic measuring and math skills
• Physical strength and stamina (lifting, standing, repetitive motion)
• Attention to detail and quality control
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or in a team
• Previous woodworking or manufacturing experience preferred (not always required)

Working Conditions

• Typically works in a warehouse
• Exposure to noise, dust, and varying weather conditions
• Requires standing for long periods and lifting heavy materials

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 100 lbs regularly
• Stand, bend, and reach for extended periods
• Good hand-eye coordination
