Cardiac Device Technician

Position Summary The Device Technician supports the operations of the Device Clinic at East Carolina Heart Institute by assisting with the interrogation, programming, and documentation of implantable cardiac devices (pacemakers, ICDs, and loop recorders). This role works in collaboration with electrophysiologists, APPs, and nursing staff to ensure accurate reporting, timely patient follow-up, and optimal patient care. Minimum Requirements High School diploma or equivalent required or higher One year of experience working in cardiology or electrophysiology preferred Completion of an industry-recognized device certification course (e.g., IBHRE or vendor-specific training) preferred or must be obtained within 12 months of hire. American Heart Association BLS required Strong knowledge of implantable cardiac devices and familiarity with device manufacturers' programmers (e.g., Medtronic, Boston Scientific, Abbott, Biotronik) preferred Experience with Epic and/or device-specific software platforms is desirable Pay Range $23.52 - $34.28 Other Information Primary Shift: Days Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5pm No nights or evening shifts No call requirements No weekends #LI-NM1 ECU Health About ECU Health Physicians ECU Health Physicians is multi‑specialty group with over 600 providers in more than 140 primary and specialty clinics across more than 110 locations in eastern North Carolina.
