Job Title: Supplier Quality Engineer I Starting Compensation Range: $86,000 - $97,000 per year What You Will Do: Inspect generator packages with team assistance and documentation resources Evaluate nonconformance data in quality management system Initiate supplier corrective action requests for severe and recurring nonconformances Support first article inspections as a secondary auditor Support supplier qualification audits through documentation collection and capturing Gemba observations Pursue continuing education in new solutions, technologies, and skills Work in coordination with team to achieve Continuous Improvement goals and objectives Perform other related duties as assigned WhatWe’reLooking For: Previous experience in quality engineering Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, preferred Certification in quality methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, ASQ) is a plus General knowledge of mechanical and electrical product designs and concepts Data analysis experience Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Valid driver’s license Excellent driving record Willingness to travel at least 50% to various jobsites within North America, as needed Excellent communication and interpersonal skills What Success Looks LikeInThis Role: Conducting root cause analysis and implement correction actions Using measurement tools to verify specifications Working independently and in a team environment Moving between projects as priorities change Functioning in a fast-paced environment Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple competing tasks and demands Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Promoting a positive customer experience Upholding the Core Values of Integrity, Commitment, Excellence and Teamwork by embracing The Carter Way Physical Requirements: Regularly required to stand; walk and talk or hear Frequently required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl Occasionally lift and /or move up to 50 pounds Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus Competitive Compensation and Benefits: Health, dental and vision insurance Paid time off 401(k), $0.75 to $1.25 match up to 6% Life and disability insurance In-house training instructors/programs Employee referral bonus program Tool allowances and tool loans Discounts on cellular phone service, computers, and vehicles Opportunities for overtime Shift differential (if applicable) You’llgain access to real learning, real advancement, and a real future in a companythat’sreshaping what it means to lead in our industry.
