Neufville, III, LLC is a full-service U.S. immigration, nationality, and transnational law firm located in Silver Spring, Maryland, in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. Since 2004, the firm has represented individuals, families, businesses, nonprofit organizations, and international clients in a broad range of immigration matters. Our work includes complex immigration litigation, removal defense, asylum, family-based immigration, business immigration, waivers of inadmissibility, adjustment of status, citizenship and naturalization, detention and bond proceedings, appellate matters, and cases before federal and immigration courts. We are seeking an experienced, organized, and client-focused Immigration Paralegal to join our team. Position Summary The Immigration Paralegal will work closely with attorneys, clients, government agencies, and other members of the legal team to prepare and manage immigration matters from initial intake through final resolution. The successful candidate must have at least three years of paralegal experience, preferably in immigration law, and must be capable of managing multiple deadlines and detailed case assignments in a fast-paced legal environment. This is a fully onsite position at our Silver Spring office. Remote and hybrid work are not available. Primary Responsibilities Assist attorneys with family-based, humanitarian, employment-based, naturalization, removal-defense, and other immigration matters. Prepare immigration petitions, applications, motions, supporting declarations, exhibits, and correspondence. Draft and assemble filings for USCIS, the Department of State, immigration courts, the Board of Immigration Appeals, and federal courts, as assigned. Collect, review, organize, and summarize client documents and supporting evidence. Conduct detailed client intake interviews and communicate with clients regarding documents, appointments, deadlines, and case developments. Maintain accurate physical and electronic case files. Track filing deadlines, court dates, biometrics appointments, interviews, requests for evidence, and other case milestones. Review forms and supporting documentation for accuracy, consistency, and completeness. Conduct factual and procedural research under attorney supervision. Prepare case chronologies, document indexes, filing packets, and hearing materials. Communicate professionally with clients, interpreters, government agencies, courts, and outside organizations. Update case-management systems, calendars, spreadsheets, and internal reports. Assist with office administration and other case-related responsibilities as needed. Protect confidential and sensitive client information at all times. Required Qualifications Minimum of three years of paralegal or comparable legal-support experience. Immigration-law experience strongly preferred. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and substantial relevant experience. Strong written and verbal English communication skills. Excellent attention to detail and document-review skills. Demonstrated ability to prepare accurate, complete, and professionally organized legal filings. Ability to manage multiple cases, competing priorities, and strict deadlines. Strong organizational, analytical, proofreading, and problem-solving skills. Professional judgment and discretion when handling confidential information. Proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, PDF software, web-based databases, and electronic case-management systems. Ability to work independently while following attorney direction and established office procedures. Ability to work collaboratively and communicate respectfully with clients from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. Authorization to work in the United States. Preferred Qualifications Three or more years of direct immigration-paralegal experience. Experience with removal defense, asylum, family-based immigration, waivers, adjustment of status, citizenship, business immigration, or federal immigration litigation. Experience preparing USCIS filings and immigration-court submissions. Familiarity with EOIR procedures and electronic filing systems. Experience responding to requests for evidence, notices of intent to deny, and other government correspondence. Fluency or professional proficiency in Spanish or French. Paralegal certificate from an accredited program. Experience working directly with clients in high‑stakes or sensitive legal matters.
