Senior Project Engineer, Civil Engineering -
A nationally recognized industrial real estate developer and design build organization is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join its growing Civil Engineering team. This role will support large scale industrial and logistics developments across multiple markets, working closely with internal development, design, and construction teams throughout the lifecycle of complex site development projects.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys technically challenging projects involving mass grading, site development, utility coordination, and large acreage industrial facilities.
Responsibilities
- Review and analyze civil engineering plans, specifications, and technical documentation
- Perform site development and earthwork analysis for large scale industrial projects
- Support grading, drainage, stormwater, paving, and utility design coordination
- Evaluate site feasibility, constructability, and development risks
- Coordinate with internal teams and external consultants through entitlement, design, and construction phases
- Review earthwork quantities, balancing strategies, and grading plans
- Participate in plan reviews and provide technical recommendations related to civil/site design
- Assist with permitting, municipal coordination, and agency review comments
- Support project execution from preconstruction through completion
- Collaborate with development and construction teams to ensure schedules and budgets remain on track
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering highly preferred
- 3+ years of experience in civil engineering, site development, or land development projects
- Strong understanding of site work, grading, and earthwork analysis
- Experience reviewing civil plans and technical details for industrial or large commercial developments
- Experience with large acreage developments strongly preferred
- Knowledge of stormwater management, utilities, and site infrastructure systems
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast paced environment
- Strong communication and coordination skills
