Job OverviewThis position involves utilizing various imaging techniques to assist in diagnosing and treating patients. Responsibilities include performing Diagnostic Radiology tasks, evaluating physical conditions related to diagnostics, and operating medical imaging equipment. This entry-level role typically requires minimal prior knowledge or experience, focusing on routine tasks under close supervision.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct radiologic procedures on assigned patients in accordance with departmental policies and standards.
- Ensure patient and procedure verification.
- Provide clear and precise instructions to patients.
- Implement correct imaging protocols and parameters for each patient.
- Prioritize safety for both patients and staff regarding equipment usage.
- Engage in ongoing education and training.
- Perform quality control checks on equipment as necessary.
- Coordinate patient care with other staff and departments.
- Maintain inventory and request supplies when needed.
- Keep work areas clean and compliant with health regulations.
- Frequent standing, occasional sitting, walking, and lifting of 30-35 lbs.
- Manual dexterity for operating radiology equipment.
- Ability to hear and see adequately to perform examinations and monitor equipment.
- Exposure to bodily fluids and communicable diseases.
- Understanding of radiologic equipment, examinations, and procedures.
- Familiarity with radiation safety protocols.
- Strong communication skills.
- Excellent customer service abilities.
- Capability to organize tasks and set priorities effectively.
