Role Description This full-time, on-site Experienced Tax Preparer and Staff Accountant role is based in Warsaw, MO. The role involves preparing individual and business tax returns, ensuring compliance with current tax laws and regulations, and reviewing tax documents for accuracy and completeness. The team member will assist in maintaining general ledgers, preparing financial statements, and supporting routine accounting functions such as reconciliations and journal entries. Daily responsibilities also include communicating with clients to gather necessary information, responding to tax and accounting inquiries, and coordinating with colleagues to meet filing deadlines. The role may involve participating in tax planning, supporting year-end close activities, and contributing to process improvements within the firm. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Tax Preparation and Tax skills for individual and business returns. Candidates should possess solid knowledge of Tax Law to ensure compliance and accurate guidance. Candidates should possess experience with Financial Statements and Finance to support accounting and reporting activities. Candidates should possess proficiency with accounting software, spreadsheets, and general ledger systems. Candidates should possess strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines. Candidates should possess effective written and verbal communication skills for client and team interactions. Candidates should possess prior experience in public accounting or a similar tax/accounting environment; CPA licensure or progress toward certification is beneficial.
