ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team for a 15-week contract with a hard start date of December 14. The position involves working nights, specifically three 12-hour shifts per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in an ICU/CCU setting.
• Float to DOU, Tele, or Med Tele units as required.
• Administer medications, including emergency medications, and manage IV drips.
• Monitor and interpret vital signs and EKG readings.
• Care for patients with multi-system organ failure and chronic/acute renal failure.
• Perform procedures such as arterial line management, central line care, and PICC line management.
• Assist with ventilator management, including high flow nasal cannula (HFNC) and BiPAP/CPAP management.
• Interpret lab results, including arterial blood gases (ABGs), and assist with diagnostic procedures.
• Implement infection prevention practices and adhere to isolation precautions.
• Participate in patient assessments and care planning along with interdisciplinary teams.
• Work every other weekend and holiday as required.

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license and a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience.
• Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, CPI, and NIHSS.
• Experience with FloTrac/Vigileo monitoring and interpretation/management of dysrhythmias.
• Proficient in starting IVs, phlebotomy, and managing blood products.
• Ability to follow protocols for emergency situations and engage in procedural sedation administration.

Additional Requirements

• RTO must be provided upon submission. No RTO is allowed during the first two weeks of the assignment.
• Maximum of three days RTO is permitted throughout the contract.
• Must be willing to work during holidays.
