Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 Hours Experience: 2 years strongly preferred License: Required - State licensure (SC or Multi-State/Compact RN license) Certifications: Required - BLS, Clienttion Badge Must-Have: - Scrub experience strongly preferred - Willingness to work on-call and weekends Description: This position is for an Operating Room Registered Nurse. The RN will work four 10-hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM. On-call duty is required, with up to four call shifts every four weeks. The RN will need to work up to one weekend shift every four weeks. Travelers will be required to work at least one holiday period, including Christmas and New Year's. The role may require floating within scope to meet facility needs. Candidates with two years of experience are strongly preferred, although first-timers will be accepted. The RN must possess a current state or multi-state RN license and relevant certifications. Experience in scrub roles is highly preferred. The work environment is within a level-one academic trauma center with a dynamic and busy nursing team. The facility has 21 operating rooms that cover all surgical specialties, including Trauma, Transplant, Orthopedics, Client, ENT, GYN, and Robotics. The nursing team consists of 75% Registered Nurses and 25% Certified Surgical Technologists. RNs are trained to both scrub and circulate surgical procedures in this Magnet-designated department.
