About the Position

Registered Nurse, Oncology, 13 Weeks, Day Shift, 8 Hours, Minimum 2 Years Experience, Valid RN License, BLS-AHA, ONS/ONCC Chemo Certification Required Description: Auto offer process will be used for submissions. Candidates will be connected with the Chief Nursing Officer once offered. The Chief Nursing Officer wishes to speak with candidates either before accepting or before starting the position. Candidates must have chemotherapy and infusion experience. The position requires floating to multiple infusion centers as needed within the designated area. No nights, weekends, holidays, or call required. Travelers requesting time off during any holiday or holiday week will not be accommodated. Holiday restrictions include major holidays and surrounding periods. Travelers may address any holiday time-off requests directly with the manager after arriving onsite. Previous charge experience is preferred. Experience with charting systems is preferred. Candidates should have the ability to manage and administer chemotherapy and infusion therapies. Skills in accessing and managing ports, as well as administering blood products and chemotherapy, are essential. Candidates should be able to recognize and communicate abnormal lab values and manage related side effects. Experience in outpatient oncology is required. Teamwork and collaboration with interdisciplinary support services is necessary. All candidates must comply with facility's certification and licensure requirements. Proper documentation will be required to validate residency and professional certifications. The candidate's experience in chemotherapy administration must be up to date. Candidates should be familiar with patient education and support for families in oncology care. Strong communication and triage skills are essential for this role.
