Job Description: 1st and 2nd Shift Operator
Jimdi Plastics manufactures plastic parts in a variety of industries. We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a 1st or 2nd Shift Operator. Come join our team and enjoy a 4/10 workweek with occasional overtime on Fridays! In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and optimal efficiency of our manufacturing during second shift.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain various products being produced by our manufacturing machines. This includes inspecting and packaging products at the press. Some jobs will require assembly.
- Monitor machine operations to identify any issues or defects and take immediate corrective action as necessary.
- Conduct regular quality checks on products during production.
- Collaborate with other team members to meet production targets and ensure timely completion of orders.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Maintain accurate records of production data, including accurate inventory entry, and product yields.
- Keep work area clean and organized.
Requirements:
- Ability to read and interpret machine operating instructions,
- Good understanding of quality control principles and procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Able to lift up to 35 pounds
- Able to stand for extended periods of time
- Able to climb stairs, bend, twist, kneel, and crouch.
