Summary: The Quality Inspector will provide quality control and assurance throughout all phases of the production process beginning with raw materials and ending with the final product.

***We are an ITAR facility and hire only US persons who are defined as US citizens or green card holders***

Expectations of the Quality Inspector:

• Develops and conducts a variety of tests on inbound materials from vendors and outbound products for shipping to ensure they are in accordance with established tolerance levels for quality and performance.
• Ensures that all of the quality check procedures put in place by KSM are followed during every production phase.
• Creates comprehensive documentation for quality issues and notes the corrective actions that were taken.
• Educates production team on quailty control issues and works with manufacturing managers to improve overall company safety and product quality.
• Creates prcess checklists and cordinates quality inspections with manufacturing managers.
• Approves incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and communicating required adjustments to production supervisor.
• Approves in-process production by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, returning products for re-work, and confirming re-work.
• Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarizing re-work and waste, and inputting data into quality database.
• Keeps measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions and calling for repairs.
• Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, and complying with legal regulations
• Performs other duties as necessary in support of business objectives. This position description is intended to guide the activities of the Quality Inspector. • Strong attention to detail
• Strong understanding of raw materials and the manufacturing industry
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and electrical schematics
• Thorough understanding of the product and/or process being inspected

Education/Experience:

• High School diploma or equivelant required. College or technical school degree preferred
• 3 or more years in manufacturing and one year in a quality role required
• Working knowledge of MS Office applications
• Lean training/certification pereferred. Certified Six Sigma Green Belt preferred
• Proven history of understanding industry safety standards and quality expectations
