Upper School Computer Science Teacher

Upper School Computer Science Teacher Full-Time Regular Pay Range : $59,000 to $104,952 annually based on experience and degree Job Summary We seek an experienced educator who is passionate, collaborative, and reflective to join our Computer Science Department to teach in at least one of the following disciplines: AP Computer Science, multiple levels of robotics in the area of programming strategy and implementation, and co-lead the school’s emerging AI programs. The position requires active participation in our vibrant learning community and an educator who will inspire and support our students. The role also requires ongoing collaboration with teaching teams at the course and departmental level. The ideal candidate brings deep knowledge of Computer Science, strong instructional practice, and a genuine love of teaching within a mission-driven independent school environment. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline. An advanced degree is preferred. Minimum of three years of demonstrated teaching experience in a range of courses in Computer Science, from introductory to advanced placement or college level. A demonstrated ability to differentiate instruction and to design lessons which make use of a wide variety of learning methods. Ability to design and execute curriculum as part of a teaching team. Excellent written and verbal communication and proficiency in educational technology. Working Conditions and Physical Requirements Ability to see and hear within normal parameters with or without correction. Full range of head, neck, and back movement; unrestricted ability to bend knees, raise arms above the head, and to move hands, fingers, and wrists. Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds without difficulty. Ability to sit, stand, and/or walk for sustained periods of time. Must successfully pass fingerprint background check and provide TB clearance due to working in proximity to children.
