Position Overview Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking an Experienced Quality Systems Specialist (Auditor) (level 4) to join the Fabrication Core Quality Compliance team in Auburn, Washington. The Compliance team provides oversight of the Quality Management System, coaching, subject matter expertise and compliance auditing for Boeing Fabrication and all of its MBUs. The primary role is auditing the various MBUs for compliance to Boeing documentation and processes. Prior auditing experience is desired, in addition to experience in root cause corrective action. Position Responsibilities Lead quality reviews of proposals, contracts, regulatory, program and customer requirements ensuring early quality involvement in program development Develop quality budget and cost estimates. Lead multi‑function, multi‑site groups to develop company directives, policies, processes, procedures and metrics to assure program, contract, customer, regulatory requirements, international standards and working agreements are deployed Lead stakeholders in analysis of process data, metrics, models and flows to identify root cause of complex problems and develop and implement preventive or corrective actions Conduct research, compile and analyze performance reports and process control statistics to continuously improve process capability Conduct quality source selection and process capability assessments of suppliers’ ability to meet program quality requirements and support business decisions Develop quality criteria for supplier source selection and a coordinated response for review and approval by senior management Develop scope, schedule, plans and lead hardware, software and system level audits to determine compliance with quality management system standards, configuration assurance, related business, regulatory and customer requirements, and report results to management Train senior management on preparation for third party audits Analyze data to provide material review dispositions for complex nonconforming materials, parts and equipment Assist in the development of new standard repairs for nonconforming materials, parts and equipment Work under minimal direction Requires approximately 25‑40% travel or as business needs dictate Export Control Requirements Position meets U.S. export control compliance requirements. The applicant must be a U.S. Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.62 (U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee). Basic Qualifications (Required) ISO9001 or AS9100 auditor certification 3+ years of experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and/or Boeing Production System (BPS) 3+ years of experience in applying verbal and written communication skills including spelling, grammar, punctuation, form and style, proofreading and editing skills 3+ years of hands‑on experience using Microsoft Office Products like Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel Preferred Qualifications (Desired) 3+ years of experience working in Aerospace, Manufacturing, Quality, or in a regulated industry 5+ years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience Demonstrated high level of dependability, interpersonal skills, initiative, adaptability, decision‑making, collaboration, and problem‑solving Customer‑focused ability to work independently or as part of a team Experience auditing QMS processes and systems Drug Free Workplace Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace.
