Senior Network EngineerThe Senior Network Engineer will support Health Resources & Services Administration (HRSA) projects by providing hands-on expertise in the design, implementation, and management of enterprise network infrastructure. This role works closely with Project Managers and cross-functional teams to deliver complex initiatives, ensuring high availability, security, and performance of network systems.How You Will Make An Impact:Design, plan, implement, and maintain of enterprise LAN/WAN, Zscaler, and network security infrastructureConfigure and manage routers, switches, firewalls, and remote access systems in support of secure and scalable network operationsImplement and support RSA SecurID / RSA Authentication Manager solutions, including integration with VPNs, RADIUS, and enterprise authentication systemsDesign, implement, and troubleshoot IPv4 and IPv6 network architectures, ensuring seamless integration and scalability across environmentsProvides innovative methods and technical solutions using the engineering design process.Collaborate closely with Project Managers, engineers, and stakeholders to deliver complex network projects on time and within scopeAnalyze customer and business requirements to develop technical solutions for complex networking challengesEnsure network integrity, security, and compliance with federal and organizational policies, including backup and recovery capabilitiesMonitor network performance using industry-leading tools, proactively identifying and resolving issuesPlan and execute network upgrades, enhancements, and technology refresh initiativesEvaluate and recommend emerging technologies to improve network performance, security, and scalabilityCoordinate procurement of network hardware, software, and vendor/subcontractor services as neededDevelop and maintain network documentation, diagrams, and standard operating procedures.What You Need To Succeed:Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.8+ years' experience in network engineering, as described belowExperience supporting federal or enterprise-level IT environmentsStrong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skillsTechnical Requirements:Strong experience in network engineering and architecture (LAN/WAN, routing/switching, firewalls, Zscaler)Hands-on experience with RSA SecurID / RSA Authentication Manager and network authentication protocols (RADIUS, LDAP)Expert with Cisco switches network software upgradesTroubleshoot complex network issues (Expert)Vulnerability Remediation ProcessUpdate technical documentation, maintaining & implementation of the SOP for network security (A Must)Cisco IPsec VPN troubleshootingCisco Identity Services Engine (ISE)SolarWinds automation scriptsCisco ASA Firewall 5500 / Firepower (A Must)Palo Alto Firewalls PanoramaAzure experience with NSGs (Networking)Analyzing PCAP Files using WiresharkChange Management ProcessTLS certificates renewals and installsTroubleshooting using Riverbed, Grafana or Cribl, and other tools as availableMust be willing to work after hours and weekends during maintenance windows (onsite) as-needed (A Must) - approximately every 9 weeksLocation: Rockville, MD (onsite: 5 days/week)Clearance: Ability to obtain a Public Trust: candidate must have lived in the United States at least three (3) out of the last five (5) years and pass a public trust background investigation.Gdit Is Your Place:401K with company matchComprehensive health and wellness packagesInternal mobility team dedicated to helping you own your careerProfessional growth opportunities including paid education and certificationsCutting-edge technology you can learn fromThe likely salary range for this position is $111,350 - $150,650. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
