EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION: Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience. Job Duties: Provides customer service to applicants, clients, and professional staff by greeting visitors, answering telephone inquiries, assessing client needs, and directing individuals to appropriate resources. Conducts applicant and client interviews and gathers initial information to assess potential eligibility for assistance programs and support services. Researches client records and processes case-related transactions using multiple automated systems, including address changes, benefit verifications, parish transfers, and Electronic Benefit Card issuance and replacements. Assists Social Services Analysts with eligibility determinations by obtaining required verifications, documentation, and case information and monitoring case listings for timely completion and return. Provides clerical and administrative support, including maintaining case records, processing mail and faxes, compiling reports, managing office calendars and supplies, and maintaining property and inventory records. Supports office operations by responding to client inquiries, monitoring Fair Hearing Requests, managing the office email, assisting with payroll and budget functions, tracking expenditures, and completing required data entry. Maintains knowledge of program policies and procedures through ongoing training and participates in Disaster SNAP and emergency management preparedness activities to support disaster response operations.
