About the Role

The Company is seeking a VP of Technical Services to lead food safety, quality, and R&D for its large, established food manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for partnering with the COO to enhance technical systems, drive process improvement, and foster a proactive quality culture. This senior leadership role demands a professional with significant technical expertise in thermal and aseptic processing, who can also provide strong leadership to a technical team and ensure cross-functional collaboration, particularly with plant operations. Key responsibilities include leading the investigation and resolution of technical issues, optimizing processing to improve product quality and manufacturing performance, and supporting new product development and commercialization. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a Master's degree preferred, and a proven track record in technical leadership within large-scale food manufacturing. Experience in leading quality assurance, food safety, microbiology, and R&D functions is essential, as is the ability to identify and address technical issues. The role requires a hands-on leader who can operate autonomously, develop others, and influence across functions. The VP of Technical Services will also be expected to improve customer complaint and corrective action processes and serve as a technical resource for customers, translating their needs into manufacturing and R&D priorities.
