Are you an experienced electrician looking to share your expertise and spark a new career path for others? Our premier construction trade school in Loudoun County, Virginia , is seeking a dedicated Electrical Instructor to train apprentices for the fast-paced commercial construction industry.
This is a rewarding way to give back to the trade, mentor future electricians, and ensure the highest standards of safety and skill in our local community. Not an experienced instructor? Don't hesitate to call. We have a great support system and trainers to prepare you to teach with confidence.
The Opportunity
- Location: Northern Virginia (Loudoun County)
- Schedule: One night per week (4 hours); September through early June.
- Compensation: Competitive hourly wage
- Support: Access to master trainers and a dedicated support team
Key Responsibilities
- Classroom Instruction: Lead engaging lessons for electrical apprenticeship programs, focusing on commercial industry.
- Progress Tracking: Monitor student performance, provide constructive feedback, and prepare them for field success.
- Code Compliance: Emphasize the importance of the NEC (National Electrical Code) and rigorous safety standards.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Must hold a valid Journeyman Electrician License .
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the electrical trade.
- Communication: Strong ability to relay technical information to students of various skill levels.
- Community Spirit: A genuine passion for training the next generation of craft professionals.
