Your Responsibilities

• Assess patients spanning pediatric to geriatric demographics using a variety of standardized and observational methods.
• Create custom-tailored treatment plans that cater to both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
• Deliver focused one-on-one speech therapy interventions covering areas of communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Work closely alongside physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to develop integrated care approaches.
• Educate patients and their families to reinforce practice beyond therapy sessions.
• Conduct occasional evaluations and interventions for inpatient speech therapy, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout the healing process.
• Keep meticulous and timely documentation in compliance with state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Engage in continuous education and collaboration with peers to stay updated on advancements in the field.

Education Needed

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized and accredited institution.
• Successful completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is not obtained yet.

Required Credentials

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory within 30 days of starting.
