Registered Nurse - Behavioral Health

Job Summary Provide direct patient care in a mental health setting. This role involves assessing patient needs, administering treatments, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to support recovery and wellness. The Behavioral Health RN plays a critical role in ensuring patient safety, delivering therapeutic interventions, and fostering a supportive environment for individuals experiencing behavioral health challenges. Key Responsibilities Provide nursing care to patients with behavioral health conditions, including medication administration and monitoring. Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized care plans. Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate treatment. Monitor patient progress and document clinical observations accurately. Respond to psychiatric emergencies and implement crisis intervention strategies. Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and coping strategies. Promote a safe, therapeutic environment that supports patient recovery. Escalate concerns appropriately and manage difficult situations with professionalism. Required Qualifications Current RN license. Strong phlebotomy and clinical nursing skills. Demonstrated ability to provide excellent patient care in behavioral health settings. Strong communication and customer service skills. Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs and schedules. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in psychiatric or behavioral health nursing. Familiarity with crisis intervention techniques. Experience working in inpatient or outpatient mental health facilities. Certifications Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
