Role Description The Resident Care Director is a full-time, on-site leadership role based in Orleans, MA, responsible for overseeing the quality and coordination of resident care. This role includes supervising clinical staff, managing care plans, and ensuring that all residents receive individualized, person-centered services in alignment with regulatory and organizational standards. The Resident Care Director collaborates with physicians, nurses, caregivers, and families to assess needs, develop and update care plans, and monitor outcomes. Daily responsibilities include scheduling and guiding care team members, conducting rounds, auditing documentation, and promoting best practices in safety, infection control, and resident well-being. The role also involves mentoring staff, supporting training and performance improvement initiatives, and contributing to a positive, respectful community culture. Qualifications Demonstrated leadership and supervisory abilities in a senior living, skilled nursing, or healthcare setting, including experience coordinating interdisciplinary care teams. Strong clinical assessment, care planning, and resident advocacy skills, with the ability to support complex care needs and monitor quality and outcomes. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to build trust with residents, families, and team members, including conflict resolution and collaborative problem-solving. Organizational and time-management skills to prioritize multiple resident needs, manage staffing schedules, and maintain accurate, timely documentation. Knowledge of applicable healthcare regulations, safety standards, and best practices in resident care, with a commitment to continuous quality improvement. Current, unrestricted clinical license appropriate to the role and state requirements (e.g., RN or equivalent), and prior experience in long-term care, assisted living, or similar environments preferred. Proficiency with electronic health records and basic computer applications to manage resident information and reporting.
