Plant Operator

Job Description necoTECH is seeking an experienced and reliable Asphalt Plant Manager to join our team in Columbus, Ohio. The ideal candidate brings hands-on knowledge of asphalt plant operations, a strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to support and lead day-to-day plant activities safely and efficiently. This is not a traditional asphalt plant. necoTECH is a developmental operation at the forefront of sustainable paving technology — actively refining a proprietary process to produce 100% recycled asphalt. This is a rare opportunity to play a key role in bringing a groundbreaking technology to life.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee daily plant operations to ensure safe, efficient, and consistent production Support the ongoing development and refinement of necoTECH's recycled asphalt process Monitor plant equipment and machinery, performing routine inspections and maintenance Coordinate with crew members to meet production schedules and project timelines Operate and supervise use of loaders, skid steers, and telehandlers as needed Troubleshoot mechanical issues and coordinate repairs to minimize downtime Enforce safety standards and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations Maintain production records and report on plant performanceREQUIREMENTS
Previous experience working at an asphalt plant — required Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment Ability to work a flexible schedule — hours will vary based on operational needs Dependable, safety-conscious, and a strong team player Openness to working in a developmental, fast-evolving environmentPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Prior plant manager or supervisory experience in an asphalt or related environment Experience operating loaders, skid steers, and/or telehandlers Familiarity with asphalt mix designs, quality control, and production targetsCOMPENSATION & BENEFITS
