Job Overview A law firm seeks a Financial Regulatory Associate in Austin to join its Financial Services and Securities Enforcement Department. The role involves advising clients on payments products, regulatory inquiries, and compliance obligations across domestic and international markets. Duties Advise clients on cutting‑edge payment products and regulatory inquiries. Represent clients in consumer protection matters, including FCRA, FDCPA, ECOA, and more. Engage in lobbying and legislative affairs, licensing, and product counseling. Collaborate with client, business, and legal teams effectively. Requirements 3-5 years of relevant experience in financial regulatory matters. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with diverse teams. Excellent writing and oral communication skills. Willingness to work with innovative technology platforms. Texas Bar membership required. Education Strong academic record from an accredited law school. Certifications Membership in the Texas Bar. Skills Understanding of fintech clients and payment products. Experience with consumer protection laws and regulations. Proficiency in leveraging technology for legal research and analysis.
