Senior Analyst, Record to Report (Plant Accountant) Robinson, TX Position Summary Walmart's Enterprise Business Services (EBS) is part of Walmart Global Tech, delivering technology solutions and services. The Plant Accountant will analyze and report financial results, forecast, plan, and close month‑end books, reconcile complex accounts, and provide insights to stakeholders. What you’ll do Financial Reporting: Execute and deliver accurate financial reports, ensuring compliance and completeness for plant‑wide departments. Balance Sheet and P&L Correlation: Understand and analyze the relationship between the Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss structure. Forecasting and Planning: Perform and communicate forecasts and planning to stakeholders. Month‑End Closing: Manage ledger closing tasks, including AP and AR processes, close checklists, necessary entries, and analysis. Account Reconciliation: Reconcile complex accounts and ensure accuracy through detailed analysis. Variance Analysis: Track, analyze, and communicate variances to budgets and forecasts. Stakeholder Engagement: Identify stakeholders, develop engagement tools, and build trust. Continuous Improvement: Utilize Kaizen and Six Sigma tools for ongoing process improvement. Risk Management: Understand financial risks, ensure controls are followed, and communicate risks to leadership. SOX Controls: Comprehend SOX controls and frameworks related to Walmart Manufacturing. Metrics Analysis: Understand plant and home office metrics and your impact on them. Unit Production Analysis: Analyze units produced, forecast risks, and relate financial data to cost per unit. Labor Reporting: Analyze labor costs, overtime trends, and predict labor costs to drive performance. Spend Tracking: Track plant spend drivers, compare to plans, and correct variances with stakeholders. Cost Reduction: Identify excess cost areas and collaborate on cost‑reduction initiatives. Communication with Controller: Update the Controller on cost variances, performance, risks, and forecasts. Inventory Review: Review raw and finished goods inventory, understand normal balances, and support physical inventory processes. Journal Entries: Perform journal entries with proper documentation, accruals, and standard entries. AP/AR Processes: Assist with end‑to‑end AP/AR processes, resolve GR/IR issues, and ensure correct coding. Policy Adherence: Ensure adherence to company policies on costs such as travel and tax. What you’ll bring 2+ years of experience in accounting or financial analysis, preferably in manufacturing or plant environment. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Strong understanding of financial and business terms. Experience in financial reporting, forecasting, and planning. Proficiency in account reconciliation and variance analysis. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Knowledge of continuous improvement tools such as Kaizen and Six Sigma. Familiarity with SOX controls and frameworks. Ability to analyze metrics and industry trends. Experience in labor reporting and cost analysis. Ability to track and manage plant spend and cost‑reduction initiatives. Proficiency in performing journal entries and managing AP/AR processes. Understanding of company policies and adherence to cost guidelines.
