Sr Medical Science Liaison, Lupus - California

Senior Medical Science Liaison role within US Medical Affairs focused on lupus therapies in California. The position involves engaging with key medical experts and healthcare professionals to communicate clinical evidence for Biogen's products and support strategic medical initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain strategic relationships with key medical experts and healthcare professionals
• Serve as credible scientific expert on disease state and Biogen's therapeutic products
• Develop and execute key medical expert engagement plans aligned with US Medical strategy
• Capture and accurately report medical insights using Veeva to inform clinical strategy
• Collaborate across field and non-field colleagues to deliver high-value medical education

Requirements

• Advanced scientific or clinical degree (NP, PA); doctoral degree strongly preferred (MD, PhD, PharmD, DNP)
• 3+ years rheumatology or dermatology medical science liaison experience
• Residence within California territory; San Francisco or Los Angeles areas preferred
• Ability to travel at least 60% of the time including overnight and weekend travel
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record and authorization to drive company vehicle
• Strong communication skills; ability to listen with empathy and adjust messaging for diverse audiences
• Proficiency with digital tools and learning new systems; commitment to ethical industry practices

Compensation: $165,000–$220,500 base
