Overview Animal Health and Wellness Hospital is a privately owned, 3‑doctor small‑animal practice located in Winston‑Salem, NC. With rapid growth, the team seeks a dedicated DVM to join a collaborative, animal‑focused environment. Position Summary Part‑time DVM position. Salary is dependent on days and hours worked. Responsibilities Deliver high‑quality medical care to dogs, cats, and, if desired, exotic pets. Conduct 30‑minute appointments, including same‑day sick visits and drop‑off patients. Assist with diagnostics: take radiographs, draw blood, perform IV access, intubate surgical patients, and run in‑house blood analyzers. Participate in soft‑tissue surgical procedures; training will be provided for perineal urethrostomies and other procedures performed by senior veterinarians. Support staff through mentorship and collaboration with a 3:1 staff‑to‑doctor ratio. Manage a daily schedule that includes a 2‑hour lunch break and final appointment at 5:00 pm. Adhere to company standards of patient care, customer service, and continuing education. Qualifications Registered DVM in good standing. Interest in surgery is welcome but not required; ability to learn advanced soft‑tissue techniques is preferred. Strong communication skills and a commitment to collaborative teamwork.
