Pay Rate: Up to $90/hr on C2C



Travel: Less than 10% (Primarily domestic travel to AbbVie Lake County locations, if required) Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP Quality Management (QM) Engineer / SAP QM Functional Consultant to support the configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of SAP Quality Management solutions within a GxP-regulated life sciences environment .

The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, SAP functional teams, technical teams, vendors, and project leadership to deliver high-quality, compliant SAP solutions. This individual should be capable of working independently while supporting system lifecycle activities, validation, integrations, custom enhancements, testing, deployments, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure, support, troubleshoot, and enhance SAP Quality Management (QM) solutions.

• Partner with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver compliant SAP solutions.

• Lead and support SAP QM testing activities , including test planning, execution, defect management, and validation.

• Support System Lifecycle (SLC) deliverables and validation activities within a GxP-regulated environment.

• Design, support, and deploy SAP custom enhancements, including RICEFW/RICEFS objects.

• Design and implement integrations between SAP and third-party applications.

• Support system deployments, cutovers, testing cycles, and critical project milestones.

• Identify opportunities for process improvements and continuous optimization of SAP QM capabilities.

• Collaborate closely with SAP functional teams, technical teams, vendors, and project leadership.

• Ensure SAP solutions meet business requirements, quality standards, and regulatory compliance expectations.

• Provide independent functional expertise and recommendations for complex SAP QM issues.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of SAP configuration and testing experience , preferably with SAP Quality Management (QM) .

• Strong hands-on experience with SAP QM configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and production support .

• Experience working in GxP-regulated pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences, or other regulated industries .

• Experience supporting System Lifecycle (SLC) deliverables and validation activities .

• Experience with SAP custom enhancements, including RICEFW/RICEFS .

• Experience designing and implementing SAP integrations with third-party applications .

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

Top Skills Required

1. SAP Quality Management (QM) configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and support.

2. Experience with SAP custom enhancements (RICEFW/RICEFS) and solution deployments.

3. Experience designing and implementing SAP integrations with third-party applications .

4. GxP/Life Sciences experience , including validation and System Lifecycle deliverables.

5. Strong stakeholder management, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Experience with SAP Batch Release Hub (BRH) .

• ABAP development and debugging experience.

• Technical leadership, mentoring, or SAP workstream leadership experience.

• Experience with SAP integration points involving Manufacturing, WM, or EWM .

• Previous experience supporting large-scale SAP implementations within pharmaceutical or life sciences organizations.

Work Environment

This role offers a Hybrid/Remote work model . Priority will be given to candidates who are able to work onsite in Lake County, IL .

Remote candidates located within the United States will also be considered.

Occasional overtime may be required during:

• Testing cycles

• System deployments

• Cutovers

• Critical project milestones

Travel Requirements

Interview Process Round 1: Microsoft Teams Interview

Duration: Approximately 45 minutes

• SAP QM configuration experience

• SAP integrations

• Validation and System Lifecycle deliverables

• RICEFW/RICEFS experience

• Communication and stakeholder management skills
