As a Mechanic , you'll work alongside your team on preventive maintenance and repair of a wide variety of tractors, trailers, and equipment in the LaPlace, LA area.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform heavy and minor repairs on trucks and trailers
Maintain a clean and organized shop, along with accurate parts inventory
Utilize computer-based diagnostic systems, experience, and skills to assess repairs, and determine warranty issues
Carry out a detailed preventative maintenance program, including fueling, greasing, oil and fluid changes, and truck inspections for needed repairs
Accurately log all work performed in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
Ensure that all maintenance work is compliant with regulatory standards
Follow proper safety procedures and protocols in all maintenance tasks
Assist in creating and updating maintenance procedures as necessary

What We're Looking For:

Diesel Mechanic experience or completion of a Diesel Certification program
Familiarity with the Manager Plus maintenance system is a plus
Strong experience with suspension systems, rear ends, transmissions, air brakes, minor engine work (such as injectors, turbos), and more
Proficiency in using computer-based diagnostic tools to identify needed repairs
A Class A CDL is a plus, but not required

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand or walk on uneven surfaces for extended periods
Navigating the facility may involve exposure to harsh weather, ladders, racks, slick or uneven surfaces, and other industrial hazards
Ability to lift up to 100lbs independently
